GM How we got here. The name GM stands for Grant Mitchell this is his company. Let me tell you a little bit about him. He was originally from Sheffield and moved to Telford to pursue a career as a semi professional ice hockey player with the TELFORD TIGERS. During that time he also decided to train and study to become a fully qualified heating engineer. In 1991 he formed the company with just 2 other engineers at his side. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength and now employs over 30 members of staff. We still have the 2 original engineers with us. GM wants to insure that there will always be someone here to carry on the work, thats why 10 of our staff are Apprentices training in the different areas of skill to be the next generation of engineers, fitters, and electricians. We also support the local schools and receive pupils on work experience. We are working in conjunction with the Educational Development Services on the Springboard scheme for youngsters. Finally Grant Mitchell still has a passion for ice hockey and became the main sponsor for the TELFORD TIGERS in the season of 2008-2009. He still plays when he can.
